I put this poster together about a fake play when I should have been working on commissions. I was procrastinating....big time. But sometimes you need to give yourself the freedom to work on the things you want to. This one was fun, easy and simple and it really kick started my drive again, so back to it!
Another Saturday night illustration. #artnerd. This one is a little hello to my niece Olive. I tried this one with an 'O' shape in the middle of the Olive character but it was a bit busy. Will need to work on the readability a bit more I think, but for now it goes up as it is :)
Bare bear. Just a quick illustration for a Saturday night. #artnerd
Part of a commission that I'm halfway to finishing. For a little girls bedroom.
I visited Toowoomba recently and checked out some of the walls from the First Coat Art & Music festival. The artwork was super impressive! There's a map you can use in the first coat app if you want to walk around and hunt out all the work from 2016. I did a bit of that and a bit of freelance strolling to check it out. I didn't catch all the work this time but took some pics (photography is not my forte!) below were some of my favourites and I believe a mix of 2015 & 2016 festivals.
You can check out First Coats website here. www.firstcoat.com.au
A little illustration that emerged out of another design project.
Sunyata is now available as a print. You can also see a print on display at the Gentle Void Gallery in Hobart.
Beard Man is a sketch I did a while back. I've digitised the sketch You can see this one on display in the Sketch Bar in Milton QLD for a limited time!
Its been a long time coming but winter is finally starting to make its way through the heat! I love the cold and I can't wait! Im so excited I'm going to finish off all the sentences in this post with exclamation points!
I first did a version of this illustration quite a while ago in watercolour. Here is the new version and now in digital. Prints available soon
Valentines day is nearly back. Honestly i'm not a huge valentines day fan, but who wouldn't want to draw cherries holding hands. This one will be available as a small card in the shop.
It's not hard to have one too many of either of the two, especially over Christmas! Hope you've all had a chance to relax and chill out.
Working on a commission with a Dublin Ireland and Brisbane Australia Brief. Dublin Castle above....well, a version of it anyway.
A snippet from a commission a few months back.
